Following the successful launch of Wonderground Barossa last year, the team have released a range of small batch wines that showcase the remarkable vineyard sites in the Barossa Valley, known as Mirus. ‘Mirus’ is a Latin word meaning wonderful, strange, remarkable, amazing, surprising, and extraordinary. This name perfectly embodies the magical character of the vineyards from which these wines are crafted. Each varietal is made from grapes picked from a single block; reflecting the diverse soils, aspects, vine ages and clones on the estate.

WONDERGROUND barossa
Cornershop collaborated with Wonderground to create a brand identity and packaging that helped bring their unique vision to life. We are thrilled to partner with them once again to help tell the Mirus brand story.
The Mirus packaging, like the Wonderground labels, features distinct artworks created by artists and co-founders Kirsty Kingsley and Renée de Saxe. Each artwork is crafted from natural pigments and textures sourced from the specific vineyard blocks, adding a deep sense of place to the packaging. The typographic logo, carefully designed to complement the Wonderground brand, enhances the distinctiveness of Mirus. It features black ink and a gloss screen to accentuate the fine details of the lettering. This is further enhanced with an emboss to elevate the tactile experience of the label design.
Mirus pays tribute to the native custodians of the land, and this respect is reflected in both the winemaking process and the artwork for the labels. The careful integration of these elements ensures that each bottle of Mirus tells a story of its extraordinary origin, combining artistry and craftsmanship in a truly unique way.
